Scouting is Victoria's largest youth organisation with more than 23,500 members, including 4,500 trained adult volunteers. Australian Scouts are members of the 28 million strong World Scouting Movement in 216 countries and territories.

Scouting world-wide is celebrating 99 years of youth leadership, community service, international networks and of encouraging positive values in young people.

The Aim of Scouts Australia, Victorian Branch is to encourage the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens.

Scout activities include caving, camping, flying, water activities, parascending, abseiling, rock climbing, conservation, bike hikes, canoeing, snow skiing, first aid, friendship, social activities plus lots more.

Scouting is a voluntary, multicultural, non-political, non-denominational, educational and developmental movement for young people.

Scouting is for boys and girls aged 6 to 25 years; youth members can join at any age or level.

Youth programs for boys and girls includes:

Joey Scouts (6 - 7 years old)
Cub Scouts (7 - 10 years old)
Scouts (10 - 14 years old)
Venturer Scouts (young people aged 14 - 17)
Rovers (young men and women aged 17 - 25)
